Connings Food Market Solar Installation
Overview
This project involved the installation of a new rooftop solar system for Conning Holdings Limited, trading as Connings Food Market, on McShane Road in Appleby, Tasman.
Rowan Dron Electrical installed a 100 kW solar array, commissioned in early 2026. The system is now generating power to support the site’s electricity needs and reduce reliance on grid-supplied power.
Scope of Work
Installation of a 100 kW rooftop solar array
Solar panel layout and installation
Integration with the site’s electrical system
Commissioning support
Project delivery for an operating commercial site
Approach
The installation was delivered on a commercial site, requiring a practical and organised approach to ensure the solar system could be installed efficiently and integrated properly with the existing electrical infrastructure.
The focus was on delivering a clean, reliable solar installation that supports the ongoing energy use of the business.
Outcome
The completed 100 kW solar array is performing well and is now generating enough power to cover most of the site’s electricity needs.
The project reflects Rowan Dron Electrical’s growing work in commercial solar installation and larger-scale renewable energy systems across the region.
“We are so happy with the way that this project turned out. Thank you to Rowan and his team!”
